Barkouky Organization was founded by Eng. Alaa El Barkouky in 1977 as an electrical and electronics company. In the initial days, he owned a workshop where he serviced electronics devices, his ambition was always to represent a renowned supplier and provide customers with high end integrated solutions.

In search of a powerful partner, he frequently started traveling to Germany’s main exhibitions and visiting a handful of suppliers. After a few visits, he finally completed a partnership deal with Klockner Moeller as a partner in Egypt which continues to be our sole power solutions provider to this day.

The team went on to complete a few jobs in which they built a reputation as a company that provided high end solutions with a high dedication to customer satisfaction. This led to the first breakthrough project in the early 90’s that included Electrical and some civil works to Glaxo Smith Kline’s first factory in Egypt worth an estimated budget of 30M. Naturally, the company started with limited resources that included a couple of employees, a small office and a small workshop.

Now the company has grown to include a sister company that is responsible for the contracting arm, over 75 employees and growing, a major facility that includes a considerable warehouse, manufacturing area and an assembly facility, a multistory Headquarters, and the capability to execute projects with budgets exceeding EGP 300 million.
